about

Coreen Morsink originally composed the basics of this song after a snowy winter walk in the mountains of New Hampshire in 1994. Years later, after reading the Anastasia series of books (written by Vladimir Megre with the English translation by John Woodsworth) she felt that the song was a reflection of Anastasia of the Ringing Cedars of Russia. Brian T Collins later composed a choral introduction and accompanying strings which are a part of this arrangement of the song.

Song Lyrics:

Morte et Dabo (I surrender)
Kyrie (To Divine Will)

One cold day I chanced to see her
Weeping tears
To make the ground flow
Walking in the snow.

In the spring
I see her dancing
With the cedars
In the forest
Walking in the wind

Oh the song that she sung, was pure as the Sun
That shone in the forest.
Oh the song that she sung was pure as the Sun
That shone in the forest.
She always walks alone, all her friends have flown.

She was waiting for her true love
with flowers and daisies
Lillies and violets
Trapped beneath the snow.

She sings softly with her true love
Loudly as the rain
Comes pouring in.
Laughing in the wind

Oh the song that she sung, was pure as the Sun
That shone in the forest.
Oh the song that she sung, was pure as the sun
That shone in the forest.

In spring her love comes home
And then she's never alone.

Winds are flying, the trees are sighing
Why do you not see her silent and true?
Her heart is melting with the purest of love.
She's waiting for the Sun
To melt his heart of stone.
So she can love again.
And she can love again
And she can love again.
